My name is Tineke, and I currently teach Yin Yoga at Yoga Hathi on Friday morning and sometimes fill in for Petri or Diego.
I'm a mother of three, live in Dongen, and when I'm not working, you can find me in my vegetable garden or behind my harmonium, singing mantras and bhajans. I also love exploring nature in my campervan.
I'm deeply interested in the Vedic teachings and texts, which describe how to organize your life to live as balanced as possible, healthier, happier, and more energetically. Despite their ancient origins, these texts are still relevant and applicable. Personally, I try to live by them as much as possible.
A very important aspect of the Vedas is about letting go of all material things. At least, it means being less attached to them, because everything is temporary, including your body. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't take good care of it.
Yoga, Ayurveda and breathing exercises, meditation and massage are important components described in the Vedas that help you on this path and to live healthier. I am happy to help you to live a more balanced life through my yoga lessons or treatments.
Did you know that a pregnancy yoga course is being developed and offered at Yoga Hathi? You'll read more about it soon.
I teach Yin Yoga and Hatha Yoga in Dongen.
